We work beneath the surface.
No performance required.
HAI (Human as is) is an organizational diagnostics studio for navigating human dynamics.
We turn what happens in the room into intelligence leaders can use.
Who is behind it
Simay Simon is the founder of HAI, creator of “The AHA Moment” diagnostic game and the person in the room reading what no one is saying.
Her work sits at the intersection of human behavior, organizational dynamics, and the systems that shape how people work.
With a Master’s in Communications, training in Human Behavior through Harvard, and years of experience across DEIB strategy, employee experience, and organizational design, she has spent her career studying what happens inside organizations — not just what organizations say is happening.
She kept seeing the same problem.
Companies had surveys, engagement scores, culture initiatives, leadership off-sites and endless data points.
And yet, something was still off.
The data could tell leaders that trust was low, people were disengaged, or teams weren't communicating well. It rarely told them where the tension actually lived, what was driving it, or what people weren't saying out loud.
That’s why she built HAI.
Human as is is built around a simple belief: people reveal more through how they behave together than they ever will on a survey.
HAI creates live, human-centered experiences that make those dynamics visible — how people respond under pressure, where voices go quiet, who holds influence, how decisions actually get made, and what happens in the space between what a team says and what it does.
Because sometimes the most important information in a room is the thing nobody is saying.
She works with leadership teams in-person and virtually to surface what’s happening beneath the surface and give leaders the clarity to do something about it.
What we believe
The room doesn’t lie
What happens when people are under pressure together is the most honest data you will ever get about your organization. We create the conditions for that data to surface.
Human as is
We don't ask people to perform growth or pretend to be something they're not. We meet teams exactly where they are — and work from there.
Surveys miss the point
Engagement data tells you there's a problem. It cannot tell you where the problem lives, who is carrying it, or what it will take to move it. We can.
Intelligence, not advice
We don't hand you a slide deck of recommendations. We give you specific, named observations and let you decide what to do with them. The clarity is the work.
